1.1 Cut your soap in half.
1.2 Draw a heart outline.

1.4 Cut the circle and remove soap around it.

1.6 Carve first petal.
1.7 Carve second petal.
1.8 Carve third petal.
1.9 Carve fourth petal.
1.10 Carve first petal of second row.
1.11 Carve second petal of second row.
1.12 Carve third petal of second row.
1.13 Carve fourth petal of second row.
1.14 Round the center.
1.15 Divide the soap around the center in 5 parts.
1.16 Carve a shallow trench in each part.
1.17 Make 5 petal cuts and remove soap under them.
1.18 Carve 5 shallow trenches again.
1.19 Make second row of 5 petal cuts and remove soap under them.
1.20 Slice the soap off.
1.21 Draw three leaf outlines.
1.22 Cut and remove soap around the leaves.
1.23 Carve a midrib.
1.24 Draw side veins using knife tip.
1.25 Repeat steps 1.23-1.24 for remaining two leaves.
1.26 Rose and leaves are done!
Carve an open heart
2.1 Form your soap into a heart shape.
2.2 Smooth the side of the soap.
2.3 Draw a heart outline.
2.4 Cut out the inner heart.
2.5 Cut out the soap around the flower and leaves.
2.6 Smooth the heart top.
2.7 Round the edge of the heart.
2.8 Neaten the inside of the heart.
2.9 Round the inner edge of the heart.
2.10 Carve 5 holes.
2.11 Place a 5 mm pearl bead on bigger hole.
2.12 Place a 3 mm pearl beads on remaining holes.
2.13 Add a hanging piece of ribbon.
2.14 Tie a bow.
2.15 Open heart is finished!
