Carve the main part of the Gift Box
1.1 Cut your soap into a box shape with a paring knife.
1.2 Smooth the sides, the underside and the surface of the soap.
1.3 Draw a small square in the center of your soap.
1.4 Cut and remove soap around the square.
1.5 Trim the edge of the square.
1.6 Draw an outline of two bow loops.
1.7 Cut along the loops and remove soap outside them.
1.8 Trim around the bow loops.
1.9 Smooth the soap under the loops.
1.10 Draw two loose ends of the bow.
1.11 Cut the outlines of the loose ends and remove the soap around them.
1.12 Smooth around the bow.
1.13 Draw two drop shapes inside the loops.
1.14 Holding the knife at the right angle, cut the drop shapes deeply.
1.15 Insert your knife into the loop and cut the drop shapes out.
1.16 Draw the ribbon around the gift box.
1.17 Cut the previously drawn lines and remove soap around them.
1.18 Cut a small scallop line and remove soap around it.
1.19 Make other scalloped lines along other ribbon edges as well.
1.20 Cut around the loose end of the bow deeply.
1.21 Smooth the soap around the loose end of the bow and the ribbons.
1.22 Repeat two previous steps for other section with losse end of the bow.
1.23 Smooth square sections at the opposite side.
1.24 Smooth the sides of the box.
1.25 Make small holes along the lace ribbons with a pointed tool (such as a pin or toothpick).
1.26 Your soap gift box is done!
(Optional) Carve a mini rose out of the rest of soap.
2.1 Cut and trim a piece of soap into a dome shape.
2.2 Divide the edge of the soap into 5 equal parts.
2.3 Cut a first petal a bit bigger than the divided part and remove soap around it.
2.4 Smooth the soap.
2.5 Carve the second petal that slightly overlaps the first petal and remove soap around it.
2.6 Repeat two previous steps for two next petals.
2.7 Carve the last petal that overlaps the first and the fourth petal and remove soap around it.
2.8 Trim the center of the rose.
2.9 Carve the first petal between two petals of the first row and remove soap around it.
2.10 Carve the second petal that overlaps the first petal.
2.11 Carve two next petals in the same way as the second.
2.12 Carve the fifth petal that overlaps the first petal and the fourth petal.
2.13 Trim the center into a dome shape.
2.14 Carve third row in a similar way as the previous.
2.15 Cut off the bottom of the rose.
2.16 Cut a toothpick, approximately 8 mm (0.31") from the end.
2.17 Carve a small hole.
2.18 Insert the toothpick into the gift box.
2.19 Attach the rose to the top of the box.
2.20 Finished!
