Instructions
Soak the soap in water
1.1 First, put the 30 g soap flakes into each bowl.
1.2 Pour 20ml (4tsp) water into each bowl.
1.3 Mix the soap flakes and water.
1.4 Cover the bowls with plastic wrap and leave them for more than 2 hours.
Carve simple ice cream cones out of soap.
2.1 First, roughly cut the soap, as shown.
2.2 Shape the soap into a cone with the carving knife. Cone base should be 3 cm (1-1/4") in diameter and should be 4 cm (1-3/4") in height.
2.3 Divide the edge of the cone base into 8 equal parts marking soap as shown.
2.4 Lightly cut 8 straight lines from the marks.
2.5 Draw 8 lines again, between previous lines.
2.6 Draw some horizontal lines to make a plaid pattern.
2.7 Done.
2.8 Keep the leftover soap to use later.
(Optional) Carve ice cream cones with a scalloped pattern.
3.1 Repeat steps 2.1-2.3.
3.2 Cut a circle segment in each part marked at step 2.3.
3.3 Remove the soap around the scalloped line.
3.4 Repeat steps 2.4-2.6. Done.
3.5 Keep the leftover soap to use later.
Add color to the soap
4.1 After two hours after step 1.4, stir the soap well until it becomes a smooth paste.
4.2 (Optional) Add a few drops of food coloring to the soap.
4.3 Mix it well.
Make the scoop of ice cream
5.1 Scoop out the half of the soap paste and wrap it in plastic wrap.
5.2 Shape it into a ball.
5.3 Glue the scoop of soap ice cream to soap cone.
5.4 Move the soap paste to the edges of the cone.
5.5 Remove the plastic wrap.
5.6 Done. Make other ice cream in the same way.
5.7 Repeat steps 5.3-5.7 to put second scoop to the ice cream cone.
Make ice cream cats
6.1 Make an ice cream cat with the second half of soap paste, leaving a bit of soap paste to make cat paws.
6.2 Wrap the soap paste with plastic wrap.
6.3 Shape the paste in wrap into an oval.
6.4 Carve ears with fingers.
6.5 Carve a muzzle.
6.6 Put the eyes on the cat.
6.7 Carve a cat nose out of the piece of soap.
6.8 Put the nose on the face.
6.9 Cut the mouth with the carving knife.
6.10 Shape the mouth with fingers.
6.11 Carve the whiskers.
6.12 Carve the tongue out of the piece of soap.
6.13 Put the tongue to the mouth.
6.14 Attach the head of the cat to the ice cream cone.
6.15 Remove the plastic wrap.
6.16 Make paws with the rest of the soap paste.
6.17 Attach both paws. Done.
Make ice cream scoops in a cup
7.1 Make scoops of soap ice cream. Repeat steps 5.3-5.7 for each scoop.
7.2 Put the ice cream scoop in a small paper cup.
Make ice cream holder
8.1 Choose the cylindrical shaped objects for forming the holder (I have chosen nail polish bottle for this example).
8.2 Cut about 45 mm (18") aluminum wire, wrap it around the smaller bottle twice.
8.3 Bend the wire at a 90° angle.
8.4 Take it out of the bottle.
8.5 Wrap the wire around the bigger bottle twice as shown.
8.6 Cut off the excess wire.
8.7 Shape the wire into the ice cream holder.
8.8 Done!
