Instructions
1. First, cut a strip of paper.
2. Wrap this strip of paper tightly around the soap.
3. Mark the place where paper strip covers one of its ends.
4. Cut off excess paper along the mark.
5. Fold the strip of paper into eights.
6. Mark folded lines.
7. Smooth the top of your soap.
8. Draw a circle with a toothpick.
9. Draw a circle with shown dimensions.
10. Cut the circle.
11. Remove the soap.
12. Cut off more soap around the circle.
13. Draw outlines as shown.
14. Holding your knife at a right angle, cut the lines and remove soap around them.
15. Trim both sides and edge of the petal.
16. Remove soap inside the petal.
17. Slice off the outside of the petal.
18. Carve remaining four petals repeating steps 15-17.
19. Trim the center of the rose into a circle.
20. Draw outlines as shown.
21. Holding your knife at a right angle, cut out the three lines.
22. Slanting your knife towards the outside, carve the fourth petal.
23. Carve the fifth petal in the same way as the fourth petal.
24. Carve first to third petals in the same way as the petals of the first row.
25. Remove soap around the center to create a circle.
26. Trim the center as shown.
27. Make a cut for the first petal.
28. Remove the soap under the petal.
29. Carve the second petal. Petals should be placed between the petals of the previous row.
30. Carve the third petal.
31. Carve the fourth petal.
32. Carve the fifth petal that slightly overlaps the fourth petal and the first petal.
33. Carve the first petal of the second row.
34. Carve the second petal.
35. Carve the third petal.
36. Carve the fourth petal.
37. Carve the fifth petal.
38. Trim the center into the dome shape.
39. Neaten the petals if necessary.
40. Smooth the soap.
41. Draw three leaves.
42. Cut around the leaves and remove soap around them.
43. Smooth the soap and draw a stem.
44. Cut around the stem and remove soap around it.
45. Rose is done!
46. Trim around the edge of the soap so that the sides are even.
47. Smooth around the flower and leaves.
48. Mark the soap.
49. Using the strip of the paper, divide the side of the soap into eight equal parts.
50. Mark sections on other strip of paper as shown.
51. Using this paper, mark eight points around the rose.
52. Mark the points in the middle of the previous points.
53. Holding your knife at a right angle, cut a scalloped circle deeply.
54. Cut off the soap as shown.
55. Cut a wavy swirl turning your soap.
56. Remove the soap under the swirl.
57. Remove more unwanted soap under the same swirl.
58. Cut the soap for the next swirl.
59. Remove the soap under the swirl.
60. Make a wavy curved line and a swirl turning your soap.
61. Cut the soap under the swirl and remove excess soap, as in steps 56-57.
62. Repeat steps 60-61 for next thirteen swirls.
63. Cut the soap for the last swirl.
64. Make a wavy line.
65. Remove the soap inside the line.
66. Remove the soap under the line.
67. Connect the last and the first swirl.
68. Remove the soap under all the swirls.
69. Make a small holes with a needle.
70. Finished!
