Instructions
1. Mark the center of your soap.
2. Draw a circle as shown.
3. Make a circular cut and remove the soap around the circle.
4. Round edges of the circle.
5. Divide the dome into 8 parts.
6. Make a petal shape cut in each part.
7. Remove the soap between the petals.
8. Make petal shapes between the petals of previous row.
9. Remove the soap between the petals.
10. Carve the third row in the same way as previous.
11. Carve V-shaped trenches in the petals of the first row.
12. Cut off the soap around the center.
13. Divide the area around the center into 8 parts.
14. Make a petal shape cut in each part.
15. Remove the soap between petals.
16. Carve V-shaped grooves in the petals.
17. Repeat steps 12, 14-16 for next two rows.
18. Slice off the soap around the flower.
19. Draw 3 leaf shapes.
20. Make cuts and remove the soap around these leaves.
21. Carve a leaf midrib.
22. Carve three marquise shaped cuts on both sides of leaf.
23. Repeat two previous steps for two remaining leaves (number of marquise shaped cuts differ).
24. Carve 3 other leaves on opposite side in the same way.
25. Smooth your soap.
26. Divide the corner of the soap into 6 parts.
27. Make scalloped cut.
28. Remove soap around scalloped cut.
29. Repeat steps 26-27 to carve another scalloped line.
30. Make small holes with pointed tool.
31. Smooth the blanks.
32. Your dahlia is finished!
