  • White candle(paraffin wax candle) 24g
  • Gel candle wax 20g
  • Crayon(oil pastel)
  • fragrance oil(optional)
  • Stainless steel bowl
  • Electric grill pan, TIP: you can also use a induction cooker or double boiler setting
  • Spoon
  • Silicone baking Cup
  • Awl or skewer

Instructions

1. First, using a scissors, carefully break the candle into small pieces to separate the paraffin wax and a candle wick.
Make sure that you don't cut the wick.

2. Keep a wick as you will use it later in this tutorial.

3. Place a bowl on an electric grill pan or an induction cooker.
Put 24g of paraffin wax into the bowl, then melt the paraffin wax at a low to medium temperature.
Or you can melt the wax using a double boiler.TIP : Don't place the bowl directly on fire.

4. Then, put 20g of gel candle wax into the bowl.
Melt the gel candle wax at a low to medium temperature.

5. Chop up your crayon into small pieces so it is easy to melt.
Stir well to mix.

6. Turn off the heat and let the wax cool down a bit.
Then add a few drops of fragrance oil to the wax.

7. Pour it into a silicone baking cup.
Let it cool down and set at least 12 hours at room temperature before you carve it.

8. To clean the bowl, wipe the wax off with paper towel while it is still warm.
TIP : DON'T wash the bowl with water because the wax will not melt into water.

9. Pop it out of the silicone baking cup.

10. Done. Let's carve your candle.

11. Make a hole in the wax with an awl and insert a wick.
TIP: You should add the wick to your candle after you carve it.
