What you will need

  • Soap powder (7-8 tablespoons)

  • Water (2 tablespoons)
  • Bowl
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Measuring spoon (tablespoon - about 15 ml)
  • Plastic food wrap
  • Piece of cardbaord
  • Small plastic container or silicon mold (Given example has size of 8 cm (3-14") x 5.5 cm (2-1/4") x 2.5 cm (1"))

Instructions

1. Put 7 to 8 tablespoons of powdered soap into the bowl (1 tablespoon (tsp) = about 15 ml).

2. Pour 2 tablespoons of water to the powder in the bowl. If you have white powder and want to color it, skip the next step.

3. Dilute the food coloring with water and put 2 tablespoons of colored water into the bowl.

4. Mix the ingredients well.

5. If you have chosen the plastic container for your soap, line it with plastic wrap.

6. Put the soap dough in the container or the mold.

7. Push the soap dough with a piece of cardboard to fill up the container or the mold.

8. Leave the chosen container for more than 3 hours at a room temperature.

9. After 3 hours, pop the soap out of the container and let the soap dry for at least 3 days before you carve it.

10. (Optional) You can make small soap with the leftover soap dough.
