Instructions
Carve the main part of the Santa Stocking.
1.1 Print the santa stocking template and cut out the santa stocking shape. Then, trace the shape onto the soap.
1.2 Cut out the Santa Stocking shape using paring and carving knives.
1.3 Cut the soap horizontally, then remove the soap around the cut as shown.
1.4 Paint the soap santa stocking with food coloring or soap colorant. If your coloring is too dark, dilute it with water.
1.5 Let the painted soap dry completely.
Carve a flower and vines.
2.1 Carve a small hole. Refer to the template.
2.2 Carve four marquise shapes around the small hole.
2.3 Carve four marquise shapes between previously carved.
2.4 Cut eight pointed petals around the marquise shapes.
2.5 Remove the soap between the petals. Move your knife slightly.
2.6 Cut eight petals of the second row.
2.7 Carve three small indents around each petal.
2.8 Draw outlines of vines with a toothpick. Refer to the template.
2.9 Cut the vines.
2.10 Remove the soap along the cuts.
2.11 Carve the teardrop shapes on the vine ends.
2.12 Flower and vines are done.
Make a screw eye.
3.1 Cut 4 cm (1-3/4") piece of wire with a wire cutter. Then, coil the half of the wire and bend the rest of wire as shown.
3.2 Screw the the prepared piece of wire into the top of the stocking.
3.3 Tie a bow around the screw eye.
3.4 Thread the ribbon through the screw eye. Optional: Attach the beads with glue. ⚠️ Note: If you use this soap for washing or bathing, don't use a glue. Embed the beads into the soap or don't decorate with beads.
