  • Carving or Exacto knife
  • Paring knife
  • Needle
  • Toothpick
  • Spoon or other scooping tool

Instructions

1. Cut out the seashell template.

2. Using a paring knife, cut your soap in half. Move your knife slowly to create a clean cut.

3. Smooth the top of your soap with a carving knife.

4. Place the template onto the soap and trace the seashell with a toothpick.

5. Cut a sea shell shape.

6. Cut out the sea shell bit by bit.

7. Draw 2 lines as shown.

8. Cut the soap along the line and remove it.

9. Trim the edge of the seashell.

10. Remove the soap inside the seashell with a spoon.

11. Place the template onto your soap and poke some holes in the straight lines with a needle.

12. Connect the dots to draw straight lines.

13. Carve shallow grooves along the lines.

14. Carve the edge of the grooves deeply.

15. Slice off the inside edge of the seashell as shown.
