Instructions

1. Carefully cut the soap in half lengthwise with a paring knife.

2. Use half of the soap. Thinly slice off the top of it to create a flat surface.
Using a toothpick, trace the snowflake template onto the soap (highlighted by the pink lines).

3. Cut off the excess soap to create a hexagon shape.

4. Carve the six lines in the center of the soap with a carving knife.

5. Holding your knife upright, cut the soap along the outline of the six-pointed star.
Then holding your knife at an angle, cut off the soap around the star.

6. Thinly cut off the soap around the star to flatten the surface.

7. Draw the pointed shape shown in the picture with the knife point.
Then cut along the shape highlighted by the pink line and cut off the soap around it.

8. Repeat the step 7 for remaining five hexagon corners to create the snowflake shape.
Then thinly cut off the soap around the snowflake shape to level the surface.

9. Cut the curved shape highlighted by the pink line and cut off the soap around it.

10. Repeat the step 9 for remaining five hexagon corners.

11. Cut off the excess soap around the snowflake.

12. Bevel the edges of the snowflake.

13. Carve six diamond shapes in the snowflake.

14. Cut out diamond shaped holes in the snowflake.
Tip: Thinly cut off the bottom of the soap so that the soap will be thin and easy to cut out any holes in the soap.
