Carve a dolphin

1.1 Print the templates and choose a dolphin shape you like.

1.2 Cut out the dolphin template.

1.3 Slice off the soap to create a smooth surface with a carving knife.

1.4 Do the same with the opposite side.

1.5 Place the template onto the soap.

1.6 Trace the dolphin and its eye with a toothpick.

1.7 Cut the dolphin shape along the outline holding your knife at an angle of 90°.

1.8 Cut the dolphin shape out of the soap. Cut off excess soap little by little.

1.9 Cut off the soap vertically when very little excess soap will remain by the actual part of carving.

1.10 Cut the soap little by little between tail and the dorsal fin.

1.11 Mark a dot for the eye on the opposite side.

1.12 Carve a dorsal fin as shown.

1.14 Remove the soap between the flippers.

1.15 Trim the edge of the body of the dolphin. Do the same with opposite.

1.24 (Optional) Add the plastic eyes to the dolphin.

(Optional) Make the hanging decoration

2.1 If you want to use the carving as a hanging decoration, carve a hole in the dorsal fin as shown.
