Instructions

1. Cut the soap into 5.5 cm (2") diameter circle with a paring knife, thinly cut off the top of the soap with the same tool to create smooth surface and draw a 1.5 cm (5/8") diameter circle with a pointed tool (such as a knife point or a toothpick).
step 1
2. Carve a cylinder shape in the center. Holding your knife at a right angle, deeply cut the circle.
step 2
3. Draw three lines on the top of the cylinder as shown. Then trim the center into a small dome shape.
step 3
4. Cut the soap edges vertically to get a 5.5 cm (2") diameter circle with a paring knife, thinly cut off the top of the soap with the same tool to create smooth surface and draw a 1.5 cm (5/8") diameter circle with a chosen pointed tool.
step 4
5. Thinly cut off the soap around the center. Divide the area around the center into five equal parts by five short lines.

8. Repeat steps 6-7 to create next four leaves.
step 8
9. Cut off the unwanted soap between the leaves and the edge of the soap.
step 9
10. To carve the second row of the five leaves, cut off the soap between the two leaves to make an indent, then cut a pointed leaf shape in the indent.
step 10
11. Cut off the soap around the leaf and trim the edge of it.
step 11
12. Repeat steps 10-11 to create next four leaves. Two rows of five leaves are done.
step 12
13. Cut off the unwated soap between the leaves and the edge of the soap. Create the third row of five leaves as in steps 10-12.
